ID:	26765984 Walked out on my upper deck and saw this hanging out on my rails. Beautiful bird and is definitely someone’s missing pet. You could walk right up to it! Stayed about an hour and left

I had a beautiful Love Bird show up on my porch one time. Unfortunately the cat brought it to me. Couldn’t save it.

That’s a budgerigar or “budgie” commonly known as a parakeet. I had a couple as pets many years ago - they have a surprising amount of personality. Quite messy and like to chew stuff. I had one named Shep that electrocuted himself after chewing an extension cord

We had a guy in our neighborhood when I was a kid that raised and sold them. He had hundreds in an aviary and some were always getting out so we would see them flying around the neighborhood quite often. Kinda cool.
