Single Pin Sight and Drop Away Rest

Looking for some insight from the brain trust. It has been a while since i put together a bow (for reference, i am still shooting a mathews switchback). Looking for some suggestions on a good single pin sight and drop away rest. I looked back in previous posts but wanted to see if anyone has had some good success with any recent purchases. Thank you in advance for your help.

    HHA Tetra

    Axcel Accutouch or Landslyde

    Black Gold

    CBE

    Spot Hogg

In no particular order…These are all good single pin sight choices.

I run Hamskea rests on all my bows.

Understandably, I am imagining that most of the responses you will get will be in the realm of 'this is what I shoot' so in an effort not to disappoint....this is what I shoot -
Axcel Accutouch single pin - I have really enjoyed the simplicity of this one but in stepping out of just the brand name, I would pitch that I think it is wise to get a single pin that is .010 pin size if your eyes are up to it, make sure it has a light add-on in the event you ground blind it and you have a set of tapes or blanks that you can readily mark your distances. My preference has been these Accutouch since it is also easy to add magnifying glass to them (and without the glass I have a reticle cross-hairs in there that helps me with sight picture).

For rests, depending on your tuning preference, I have several friends that swear by and use the Hamsekas because they like the limb drive on it. I have stayed with the QAD Ultrarest HDX, mostly for my own comfort level, but also it fit my bow timing wise and I have not had any issues.

Not sure where you are located but it is worth a drive into a bow shop to get your hands on all the parts and pieces of the drop aways and sights. I was fortunate to snag an Accutouch off of TBH.

HHA to spot hog and back to HHA.

QAD for my last 2 bows and wife and kid shoot one as well. Son got a hand me down from me and finally wore it out but it was easily 10 years old. FWIW I dont swap bows every 6 months so I dont change much. In 30 years of archery, Ive owned and shot 4

Just bought a new bow in October and have a QAD rest and spot Hogg sight. Like the setup so far. Going to test is out at Total Archery Challenge in a few weeks!!
