    Scottrade or Etrade

Which do y'all prefer? Pros and Cons? Thanks for your input.

I use Etrade. Only reason being that we have a stock purchase program at my job and that is who they use. I just started to use them for additional things (stocks) beside my work stock plan. It takes a little while to get everything set up but they are easy to use after that. When I first signed up I spent a lot of time just looking over their website to get use to it and I also made a couple of calls to their 800 number just to verify anything I had concerns about or did not understand.

It does take a while to get your money if you sell stocks (over a week for me anyway) so dont put any money in there that you might need to get your hands on right away for emergiencies or whatever.

Do not know anything about ScottTrade.

            Scottrade.
Never had a problem with them yet.
No dings for account inactivity, cheap trade cost and very quick at cutting a check when you ask them.
Also, it is nice to have a branch office to visit if you need to.
Last year I had some worthless stocks from the 90s (some dont exist anymore) that I wanted to get rid of so I could use the tax deduction.
The scottrade broker had to do this for me and was supposed to charge for the transaction...believe it was $14 or so per stock. He waived all charges.

I use scotstrade, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley smith Barney for personal accounts and Fidelity at work. They are all easy to use and charge about the same fees. If you are going to buy and sell often then I like Scottrade for that. I tried setting up an account at E-Trade a few years ago and had trouble navigating thier sight.

Youre making too much money up there to invest in stocks

Call your boy ML and get him to set you straight on stocks

Scottrade is extremely easy to use and it required the least amount to open when I did it. They also have the referral program which gives free trades to the new person and to the existing customer. Think its $7 a trade and you get 3 free so that's a free $21 to 2 people.
