    Wildlife Water Station

Finally got around to repairing the Wildlife Water Station this past weekend after the Hogs destroyed it. Dug a hole @3' in Diameter and @15" deep.
Got a 1/3 piece of 55 gallon drum and put the Waterer inside ..gave @6" space all around the waterer .. 4 bags of cement and some replacement parts .. back in operation

The photo perspective makes it look small. But looks good.

How much water can it hold?

If the hogs rub and push on it. Put a handful of concrete nails in it. Leave them sticking out about half inch or more, then cut the heads off with bolt cutters. Leaves a good point they don't like.

It holds 4 gallons and I have it hooked up to a rainwater catchment system @ 100 yards up hill don't need a pump because of gravity.. All metal hose as I've learned my lesson with plastic hose .. rodents & hogs destroyed it..

Seems like a whole lot of work for only 4 gallons of water.

It was a Lot of work but something is better than nothing.
My next project is using an old Bath Tub in a small valley to catch water...
Also adding a 150 gallon station by fall .
