      Nope.

Garguy in post Groups sums it up.
They changed out the super hot white chick with a minority. And changed the skinny quirky bar lady for a quirky large bar lady.

Glad I didn't bag on this movie on Johnnydanger thread.. Looks like everyone agrees it sucked.
The movie wasn't even in the right setting...First thing my wife said.

I tried watching last night but got bored. I did make it to where Conner got in the story. I know people bashing on his acting but he seemed exactly as I pictured he would play the role. I just couldn't buy into Jake playing Dalton. Just not the actor for the role imo.

Tag line for the original Road House:

Citified ballet-dancing metrosexual (Swayze) plays a country street-fighting cooler (also Swayze) who fights off the ugliest "hot" chicks in a bar owned by an old guy with a butt-ugly rug.

            No thanks.

Now, Porky's...that was a good "rowdy bar" movie.

            Good ahead. Argue with me.

Travis (Taylor Sheridan) is quick to offer Jimmy (Jefferson White) some cowboy advice. But we're just here to talk about how great Sam Elliott is.#Yellowston...

Porky's was awesome.....the scene in the shower where Ballbricker grabs Tommy's johnson.....and has her foot on the wall pulling...then in the office describing what needs to be done.....freaking hilarious

They should have just named that movie something besides Roadhouse.

It wasn’t a remake at all. The movie would still suck, but there would be less criticism if it was a stand alone movie. Call the bar something else and change the character Dalton’s name. Those were pretty much the only things in common with the original.

I don't know why they have to "remake" a movie, come up with something good and new......I couldn't make it very long in the original roadhouse....

I watched it and Top Gun Maverick the same week - one sequel done right the other not at all.
