What type of grass is this?

And how do I kill it without killing my St. Augustine?

I'm no expert but looks like Bermuda grass to me.

Talk to an expert at your closest nursery. I don't think its Bermuda grass but if you spray broadleaf week killer on it and your St Augustine is green, it will kill it too.

        Could be centipede grass.

Common Bermuda looks like to me, picture is really close up, can you take a pic from 3 or 4ft away?

Its bermuda. Hard to get rid of but your st augustine will choke it out if you keep it healthy. Keep your mowing height high, the bermuda cant live in the shade that the st augustine will put out.

If it’s in your residential lawn, I assume it’s nutsedge grass. Very common in Central Texas. You can go online and find a number of products to control it, many of which can be found at your local home improvement store.

According to my iPhone plant ID, it is Bermuda.

I have had some of that pop up in my yard of St. Augustine a couple times and it always seems to go away by the middle of summer.

Thin blade is common Bermuda grass. Below is a link to a video of a new herbicide for your problem; FYI. It's an expensive herbicide which is why I have not killed off the Bermuda in my St. Aug!
