Let’s see some. This is my nephew and his 2021 East Texas buck killed off of his family farm. We were hunting at the same time in different counties when I received his text. I can still feel the excitement that he was feeling that morning through his text and I was very happy for him. That is only his second bow buck and scored 146ish if my memory serves me correctly.
No one from his side of the family bow hunts and I can ( boastfully) be proud of the fact that I had inspired him at a young age when I would hunt their farm. At first he couldn’t believe that anyone would choose a sharp stick over a modern firearm but now he doesn’t gun hunt at all. He will sit for weeks without seeing a deer just waiting for that narrow window of opportunity. And now his 10 year Olsen son is ready for his first bow deer after numerous dead pigs under his belt.
