Pantera blew the roof off. Loudest show I’ve ever been to

I saw them on March 23 2001 at Fair Park Coliseum. Man I was a little out of my element. It was a crazy good time.

That was the legendary Dallas metal club the Basement for me which is where the Cowboys From Hell video was filmed. I'm kinda in the video. Lol.

Place was 90% poser bands. We hung out in the bar side drinking free beer and shooting pool. Did a few shots with Dime and Vinny at the after hours locked doors parties.

January 1986. I still have my ticket stub. Jimmy Simmons and I made the tickets in printing class at Denison high. :-)

Looks like they are back, Zakk Wyle as guitarist Phil Anselmo back as singer. Not sure how I feel about bands continuing on with so few living members, Lynard Skynard has done the same thing over the years but I'm sure Dime and Vinnie are spinning their grave. https://blabbermouth.net/news/watch-...ven-metal-fest

Zakk and Dime were big time friends as I understand it and maybe that will help keep it where it needs to be instead of some other crap.

                    Time will tell I suppose. . .

Meh. Other metal bands have non original members.

I’d be interested to go see them especially when they’re opening for Metallica. Only if they’re not going to price gouge at ticket master though.
