Like said before don’t cold turkey, my MIL has suffered from anxiety and panic since she was 14 ( now 79 ) and I have seen her seesaw struggle with her dosage, work with your doctor and find a happy medium dose
the medication works when used consistently

I’m on it. We have an EAP at work and their team is actively looking to find someone I can see today.

They told me to have my phone available for when they call me but that it will be today. I am working on getting this under control.
Check out Betterhelp.com. Very affordable and convenient way to choose and meet with a mental health professional. If you don't like the person your paired with you can simply ask the system to choose a different one. And please check out the book Building a Non-Anxious Life or listen to the audio version.

Family history of anxiety disorder and depression here so grew up with a lot of that in the household. I started experiencing anxiety and insomnia myself in high school and college and doctors just started prescribing all the meds. I moved to a new city and my new doctor decided I didn't need any medication. Spent the next 10 years learning to control it and change my thoughts and behavior. In a much happier more balanced state now but watching other people in my life continue to experience that is so heartbreaking because the solution is always throw some pharmaceuticals at it and protect the person from everything instead of assisting them in seeing every option available while teaching them how to use their intelligence to live a balanced life.

Even as strong as my faith is I’d be a mess not being able to swallow. My issue now is breathing. Get back on your meds asap brother. Much love from all of us
Yeah stopping cold Turkey was a bad idea, but I am through the worst of it now. No going back on it. Sorry to hear of your breathing issues. I am in Katy as well so when we are both better we need to connect.

Personally I am an anti drug person and try to fix issues in other ways. This lady, Dr. Julie Osborn has lots of podcasts/videos that go into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address all kinds of issues out there. She can help you figure out the root of the problem and ways to address it. I would recommend you look into her.

Anxiety as well as many mental disorders can be helped and or cured through nutrition.
Eliminating alcohol, caffeine, sugar, seed oils and highly processed foods have helped thousands of people overcome their problems.
Eat good fatty meat and whole natural vegetables. Eat only low glycemic carbs.

I’ve been through it, I’m not a fan of anxiety drugs, per se, but I also understand they have their place. A good psychologist can change your life. Big difference in a good and bad psychologist. Find a reputable anxiety professional and be in that office weekly. Always remember, anxiety cannot hurt you and it will always pass.

Fat provides essential amino acids that fuel the body and most especially the brain. When eating a low carb high fat diet our bodies go into a state of ketosis where we are no longer using glycogen for fuel but rather fat. This will reduce inflammation in the body and we start burning up our fat stores. This also feeds our brains and most people report a lack of brain fog and better cognitive performance. I’m probably too far gone to help my brain though.

This goes into more detail about low fat versus high fat.
