On my trip to north east Arkansas I made it 640 miles before I stopped for fuel. So I drove from S.Texas which is the bulk of driving to well past Little Rock. That was $80. When I left Biggers, Arkansas and put fuel in my truck in Pocahontas. I had a half a tank and put $70 which didn’t fill the truck up. I made it to Lufkin before I stopped and filled up before making way to Bayside.
So if staying in Texas it is a lot cheaper compared to other states.

Everyone I see filling up comes out of the c-store with a Big Gulp, handful of scratch offs, jerky and candy bars. Must not be hurting too many folks at the pump.

I can drive my UTV which takes less than 3 minutes to each or walk, but at 70 years old, I like the UTV!

I get what you mean......I haven`t been inside a convenience store in close to 15 years unless it was a road trip and I used the facilities. I worked with a guy not that long ago that always complained about not having any $$$, but he showed up to work every day with 10 bucks worth of junk food for breakfast .

I spent less $$$ on gas when I was 60 plus miles away from my lease than being 16 miles like I am now. I used to drive to the lease and stay 2-3 days per week (120 miles per week roundtrip). Now I make 2 round trip hunts per day @ 64 miles per day. Since I`m retired, I may hunt every day the first 7 days of the season and rack up almost 450 miles opposed to 240 miles to hunt the first 2 weekends when I was farther away. It`s just the cost of doing business. I figure I spent about 400 on fuel last season from September until last month.
