1st fishing trip of the year

Finally warmed up enuff to do some fishin!

Bought a 2001 Xpress, X18, last week. Been wanting another bass boat, ever since i sold my skeeter. Still kickin myself in the butt for that! And, at the current prices of new boats, my financial advisor would not allocate the appropriate funds!

Not a bad boat. It's got a 115yammer hammer on it, 12v minn kota troll motor. No live scope or side scan. Just a fishin boat. And it catches fish! My brother in law was off all this week, so we took advantage. Even got ol Landrover to go with me!

OT and i catch a few fish at sheldon reservoir last Saturday. I think we caught 6 or 7, all 2-4 pounds. Fished from 7-11. Not a bad day!

Monday sucked! went to lake Raven. Its a mud hole. Loaded the boat and went to Stubblefield. Not much better. Catch 1 white bass. Stopped at house of pies for lunch then hit lake woodlands. Caught 4 bass.

Tuesday was a wasted day. Lost power to the speedometer and gas gauge. Then had to go to the courthouse to get all the paperwork transferred. Ended up catchin 2 bass at Fayette tues evening

Wednesday was a goo day. Went to lake woodlands caught 12-15 bass. Biggest was 5.87 pounds!

Thursday morning found us at woodlands again. We caught 8 or 9 with another 5 pounder.

    Not a bad week!

Congrats, I’m yet to get out. Putting the lower unit back on this evening after doing a reseal and water pump, waiting on BIL to get here for the muscle while I guide the shift rod and water intake back up.

Also caught a fishin rod, at Fayette! Still had the plastic wrap on it. I bet less than a week old.

Nice! I was on them pretty good last week at Tbend, you guys definitely caught some better ones than I did.

Good looking boat! I bet that ol Yamaha still has some kick!

NOT YET! You never know. I may win the lottery and finally be able to afford a new glitter boat!
