    “My All American”

I don’t watch many movies at all but since I was laid up sick this weekend I actually watched this one. What a great movie based on a true story about a great young player.
Being a college football fan I couldn’t believe that I had never heard this story.

Heck I even found and watched the actual UT vs Arkansas championship game on YouTube afterward!!
Very cool. Those ole boys went all out back in 1969. They were fast and they laid down some hard licks.. Tough ole boys back then!!

I will have to check this one out. As a hog fan may not like the outcome. But used to that. If you like this kinda show and havent watched it yet I found '12 mighty orphans' to be a great flick. Check it out if you have not already, true story.

Yes. That was a great movie, no profanity, no lgbtqrst and crap they think they have to put in every movie. I was a sophomore in h s and remember the game and the pass when Texas never threw the ball. I remember Freddie coming on the field with crutches and when he passed away. Great movie to watch with your family.

Loved the movie and I'm not even much of a sports fan.

This is exactly what I thought about the movie.
All of the crap that is usually in movies is the main reason that I watch very few.

This movie and “The Hill” are the only 2 movies I’ve watched in years.
“The Hill” is another great movie!
A true story about a young baseball player from Brenham Texas. Dennis Quade is in it. GREAT MOVIE..

Dennis Quaid has been in some good "family" movies the last few years. The Hill, The movie about the Mercy Me singer "I can only imagine", the Dog's Journey and The Blue Miracle.

You didn’t mention “The Rookie” even though it is a Disney movie. Quaid was great in it.

While I can’t stand TU or all things TU, this movie is great and tells a great story.

                    it is a great watch.

Back in the mid 80’s I was visiting a client in Little Rock and we pulled up behind an old lady in an ancient Cadillac. She had a bumper sticker that said “Pass interference my ***,” He informed me that it referred to a controversial play in the first quarter of the UT game in 1969 almost 20 years prior. Now that’s a Hogs fan!

I texted several friends this week after we watched it this weekend. Great movie. Especially if you remember the players and Coach Royal

Watched it a few weeks ago. Definitely up there with one of the best I’ve seen in a long time.
