Does anyone have a Sliding Alley Gate I can look at?

We're looking to buy a sliding alley gate (sometimes called a rolling alley gate or a cattle alley gate) and would like to look at one before we buy it. Most farm and ranch equipment stores don't keep them in stock so I'm casting my net a little broader, starting here. Specifically looking for Priefert (particularly their Rough Stock), ArrowQuip, or Tarter. Willing to travel within 80 miles from Austin.

Holler back if you can help.

Hamilton Pipe Co built all my panels and gates for my pens. I’m very happy with them. Heavy duty and the price was right.

They are very easy to build but if not possible you can check with the two pipe cattle panel companies in Lometa. They are both very reasonable in price. If you decide to head that way, you can stop by the place here and look at one of the ones I've built on our pens. They are really quite simple to build.

Not sure where you are, but Rising Star sells lots of pens
Done business with them and the eastern business in Lometa.

These guys like hamilton make good pens. Although some of them get a little wide on there horizontal spacing.

I use some Priefert rough stock gates etc and been happy with it. Neighbor has a full Arrow setup and i wouldn't hesitate to buy anything Arrow.

If you haven't built your alley yet the adjustable alley from Arrow is NICE! If you are building yourself the worst mistake i see people make is building them to wide.

Great information. It’s the Rough Stock gate my husband is interested in but, in doing some research, I’m kind of high on Arrow. As I don’t have to tell you, they’re as high as a cat’s back ($$) so we want to lay eyes on them before we buy one. Most dealers will order them for you, of course, but they don’t appear to keep them in stock.

Our shoot is currently being built and but the gate is the critical component. Don’t like to buy critical components sight unseen.

I built mine. It hangs on lawnmower wheels.

I have a slider chain link fence gate (Guessing 10, 12 or 14 ft length - unsure) and rail at our ranch in Star, TX if you want to look at it. The fence slides on the top side rail. Being chain link it may not be heavy enough for your use. But will let it go for a good price if it can be used.

I will be there this weekend Fri - Sunday noon

Your pen builder can make them in place using some roller door railing and wheel sets. The gates them selves are made out of pipe and are bolted to the roller sets. I'm 6 miles south of Lampasas if you want to look at mine.
