    lol. I’m over it.

    just the facts!

The nerve touching comes from much further North.

Two edits...you sure you're over it?

I had a similar conversation about excess bow and component inventory with Tim at B2B on Tuesday (mostly about another bow mfg.) I imagine it's hard to balance inventory and demand, especially with long lead times. And I know I've had my own frustrations when it comes to communicating with some of the folks at Mathews (including a guy whose title used to be "Director of Communications!" )

Jeff, have you talked to anybody at Mathews about why lead times are so excessive? Are other bow manufacturers experiencing similar times? I understand high demand, but I'm surprised they're not more capable of ramping up production when needed.

There is no more demand than normal. Actually, probably less. I only talk to Mathews when they call and our person who does the ordering is gone. I can text our rep at any time but choose not to bother him.

Someone dropped the ball. BIG TIME! And it’s costing them.

Other bow mfg lead times are what we consider normal.

I’m loving my Lift 33! Upgraded over from a Phase 4 29 for the same reasons mentioned in the video. Stable and very forgiving. Got my first Robin Hood at 40 yards with it and another one last week at 60! Outlaw Archery in the Woodlands has a good selection of the new Lifts. Great review Michael!

Nice! The first Robin Hood is cool, and the second is nice confirmation that the bow is shooting great and not a fluke...but it starts to just become expensive after that! LOL! That's a good looking setup. Did you order the custom yellow string for it, or did you buy it with it on there? Is it the Mathews Match string, or from a third party?

I figure the lead times are longer for custom built bows (via the Bow Builder), but are you seeing similarly long leads on "standard" bow options? Are y'all able to keep bows in stock at CCR, or do most people want custom built bows?

Lol tell me about it definitely bitter sweet!
The yellow is growing on me. So originally I bought another Mathews Lift 33 with the Match strings. They were great strings compared to the Zebras. Shot it for about 2 months and sold it to a lease member. I bought this one straight from Outlaw Archery that already had custom strings installed. The guy that was supposed to buy the bow backed out of the deal all together which gave me the green light to purchase. They are Phantom Bloodline Strings. Some of the best strings I’ve ever shot I have over 1000 shots on this bow and no signs of stretching. Check them out if you get a chance.

I bought the LIft 33, and I love it. Now, I wish it was 31 or 32", but it's a great shooting bow. The new strings seem to be a quantum leap forward from Zebra. I have to say that it does noticeably draw harder than the previous cams.

Nice! Did you shoot the 29.5" before buying the 33?

We have a good supply but earth and ambush are the only ones that aren’t ridiculous wait times.

Hmmm. I did a custom build, but I honestly don’t care what color it is if it’ll reduce the wait significantly.

Thank you for this post. Very informative. I'm considering switching from Elite to Matthews. I shot the Phase 4 at Cinnamon Creek and was not impressed. Just not enough difference to justify dropping $2000 for a new bow. I'm hearing great review on the Lift, but how much better than the Phase can it be? (in your case none )

By the way, Mathews should have sent you a Lift 33 to begin with. It would have saved you some time and energy

Thanks again for sharing your experience.

Honestly, I was debating requesting the 29.5" before the bow arrived. Normally we've been able to specify, but they sent this one unsolicited. I'm glad I was able to get a feel for it. I'll probably try to shoot the 29.5 and 33 when I'm able to get access to both.

I'm sure it's awesome to have them send you bows to try out and keep for free... I'm still shooting my 2013 Elite Pure.
