    Anyone ever buy from onlineoutboards.com

Does anyone have experience ordering an outboard from onlineoutboards.com? I have been doing a bit of research and they appear to be the largest dealer of outboards in the US. All of the reviews that I can find are very positive. It seems like nobody has anything negative to say about them. They definitely appear to be a legitimate seller also. There are a few websites with similar names that are scams (off brand motors disguised as name brands.) I think these other websites are trying to disguise themselves as onlineoutboards.com by usings a domain name that is close.

I believe that they only sell smaller motors (under 30hp). I would prefer to buy from a local dealer, but I am having a hard time getting a local dealer to even give me a quote. This place ships directly to your house and they are significantly cheaper that any dealer website that I can find.

I am just looking to get a new outboard for my little flatbottom, nothing wrong with the old motor but want to go a bit bigger.

    Sounds risky.

Be sure to see if the supplier's state requires a title from the dealer. Might make the process a little smoother.

Yes, on recommendation from a local dealer in NW Florida, we bought a 20 hp Suzuki from them in January. Got it in less than a week.

I bought an outboard from them. No issues at all. Way cheaper than any dealer and fast shiping. It came with a certificate of origin. Which reminds me for 100th time that I still need to get that thing titled.

You’ll also need to see what type of warranty you get.

All of their motors come with the dealer/factory warranty. 5 years for Suzuki is what I'm looking at. From the research I have done and comments I am seeing different places, I don't think they can be beat as far as price & shipping. They are at least 30% cheaper than any dealer I have talked to.

I prefer to buy local but paying at least 30% more for the exact same product & warranty is a bit excessive in my book.

If you are mechanically inclined, I have a 88hp Evinrude SPL 2-stroke I'll sell you cheap! Title and controller. Needs work, been sitting for about 10 years.
