Bathroom tub Installation parameters DYI question

    TBH Braintrust brothers,
I have a question about installing a bath tub in an alcove. (An Alcove is a station where the tub fits against the wall on three sides. I think...) I am not sure what size tub would fit best. Pier and beam house. The bathroom is gutted. Stud to stud width is 75 and 3/4 inches. Looking at a 72 inch tub. The fixtures would be against the back wall on a shelf. Is this tub too big for that space.

I thank you all in advance!

all the tubs will have a rough in wall dimension spec. I assume you are talking about like a fiberglass style with a back and side lips so that the sheetrock can run down onto it. Or tub surround whatever you are doing.

FYI i had a cultured marble guy come do my tubs and showers for such a good price it was not worth the headache. Now glass is where the money is on showers...
