Are the Bucks dropping horns yet?

I am in East Texas and the Bucks on my property are not shedding as of this morning. I have 8 to 10 bucks at my feeders and in my Food Plot every day. What does it look like in your area of the State? I figure sometime in the next 30 days it will happen. I will take my Labrador Retriever
Tex down with me and see if he can sniff some out for me!!!

I found a matching set from a four point about a week ago near Lake Fork, but every other buck I've seen still has antlers.

I’ve seen small bucks that still had them in April when I was out turkey hunting. It’s a long process before they all lose them. Love to find them, big or small. Happy hunting!

A buck I was targeting dropped his back on Jan 13 but not the rest of the herd. Caught it on camera. https://youtu.be/AfCAook4mtw?si=qPZ2oaAaFkXKbsPB

We had bucks dropping anthers in mid-January in Menard. All the neighborhood bucks are still antlered. Hell, they were chasing does last week.

Most deer should still have their antlers right now. If the herd is not healthy you will see bucks lose their antlers earlier than normal. It seems in Texas that March is usually when they drop.

I'm in Brown/Comanche Co and was at the ranch 2 weeks ago. All deer had antlers except 1 buck had dropped 1 side. I'm expecting to see a few more bucks w/o antlers this weekend.

I saw one buck with one antler last week, all the others still fully antlered. Near Tyler.

Some are and some are not here on the coast.
A very recent pic of one our target bucks they gave us the slip all year. Glad he made it.

We normally start seeing them drop mid February through March out west when deer are in good shape.. We do run across a few during turkey season occasionally that are still carrying them in April. One of our members reported his first antlers dropped today via Covert wireless cam.. That's the first one of the season for us.
