I'm a little surprised that someone hasn't already dented his noggin. You would think that, in all the years that he's been defrauding people, he would have eventually picked the wrong victim.

As good as that sounds, you loose the upper hand as soon as you break the law in a matter like this. Don't become a criminal to beat one. Get physical with someone in a civil matter, they own you. Get your $ back the long, painful, legal way and don't give him any reason to sue you, which he would surely do.

It really chaps me that this guy is able to find any property to lease in the first place. I've spent a lot of time looking for a pasture the last couple months, and learning of guys like this that have thousands of acres tied up to screw people just baffles me. I know a group of guys in Beaumont that got burned by him this last season. If it is not an instance already mentioned in this thread, it is another story that is identical to the stories above.

I wasn't in any way endorsing violence against him, it's just the law of averages usually catches up to someone like this. He will eventually mess with someone that comes unhinged.

tempted to contact him "in search of a lease" and use a lot of his time up with questions, schedule a trip to see it, etc. and then tell him I was just joking

Wow, so glad someone finally exposed him.

My grandfather purchased an axis hunt from him at a Church auction for over $5,000 for me for my college graduation present.

Long story short, there were no axis on the ranch. We confronted him about it and said we could hunt whitetail. It was a 150 acre high fence trap with poor looking whitetails and some little scrub bucks. For $5,000 we said no thanks, let's get rebooked. He said he had them at another ranch. We did and went to another ranch and same thing. A few blackbuck in a small high fence trap.

The guy is an absolute POS.

So sorry. Absolute worst story so far. This dude is worse than I already thought.

Let us all become the Dallas Dodge thread. We keep using Scott Huggins name in every thread will make google bring this thread up on a search. Also I saw on his Corp profile he had himself removed and added his wife as owner/ officer. I am sure due to his scams.

He’d want a Sizable down payment first but would be partially reimbursable if you didn’t bite. Good luck with that

I'm pretty sure this is him but he hasn't been active since 2011:

Desperate hunters take desperate steps in the name of leasing land which is what this guy preys upon. Can't be too careful nowadays with your money. Do your homework and I'm glad there are lots of stories exposing him as a fraud here.

When you steal from folks, you’ve got lots of extra dollars to tie up land with

He has definitely earned his way into the "Lease Broker" title quite well. Bunch of snake oil salesmen.

I was one of these guys who lost my lease because of this ******. Worked out though because I’m on a much better one now. That place had the best Turkey hunting I’ve ever seen though.
