A couple of years ago I had folks from another forum send Christmas cards to my Mother in Law. She got cards from all over the US, 3 from Canada, and one from England. There were small personal touches, questions about her health and family that a stranger just wouldn't know. It drove her crazy, she thought she was losing her mind. "Who are these people? Why can't I remember them?" It was absolute greatness! The cards came in for a couple of weeks before Christmas and she was totally baffled. On Christmas morning I asked her if she had gotten any more "interesting" cards. Her response?
" It was you!" The entire family got a great laugh out of it!
Well, I want to do it again. Haley, our 15 year old will turn 16 in March. She wasn't around the family yet when we got my MIL so she won't suspect a thing. I would like for her to get birthday cards from people all over the state. This is where you come in. Can you talk your wife, son, or daughter into sending Haley a birthday card? ( I don't think too many cards from grown men will be appropriate).
Have them add a personal touchlike, " How is Sheree's show pig looking", or " How is Lily's cute little kitten she got for Christmas?" We can work out those details later. Her birthday is in March so we have some time. I'm just looking for volunteers now. Hoping for at least 50 cards from "mystery friends."

I'll come up with a list of relevant facts and pm something to each volunteer. Things like grades, family stuff, something so she thinks she knows you but can't remember why. I may have started this too soon since her birthday is late march. I will keep a list of volunteers and make it happen in march. Thanks!
