Hi guys, the battery on my New Holland TD75D is shot. I called the dealership about a new one and they want about $325 for a new one. That just seems like to much $$$ for a battery! Does anyone know where I could buy a new tractor battery at a more reasonable price?

Have not had to buy one yet for my 2006 JD 5303, but when I do I know it will be expensive. My battery is going on 6 years old and cannot believe it still works. I rarely have a car battery that lasts longer than 3 years, and I"ve put very expensive one's in my truck. Heck, if it costs $325 for one that lasts 6-7 yeasrs, that's cheap compared to what truck batteries cost and how often they have to be replaced.

If you don't have a Tractor Supply store near and the Oreilly option isn't what you want, try calling a John Deere dealer if there's one not too far away. They used to carry parts for other brands, but I realize that their battery will have the John Deere label on it. I don't know who makes JD's batteries.
I used to be a Case mechanic at a dealership and their batteries are expensive too. Try a different NH dealer if that's an option. Depending on location and dealer, there are usually price differences. I know this for a fact.
