First off I would like to express my gratitude to the TBH family because this hunt wouldn't have been possible without this platform for all of us to gather and share the love of the great outdoors with one another. In the spring of 2023 after returning from a less than favorable hunting trip for javelina, I had reached out on TBH about possible places to go to bow hunt javelina as I had never shot one and thought it would be a cool animal to hunt. Jason Pauling - (jason86) had reached out to me about coming to hunt javelinas in 2024 and after talking with him on the phone about it and getting the details I was excited and ready to go come 2024. My son Isaac and I left out last Thursday to make the 9.5 hour drive to south Texas where we met Jason, Adam Wetz - (mooseontheloose) and Rob - (don't have his texasbowhunter username yet). Jason got us all set up for the sleeping arrangements and then fed us one of the best steaks I have ever had period. We went to bed and excitement for the days to come. Friday morning came and after a short duck hunt we went around the ranch filling up cottonseed feeders and corned the roads for javelina. That evening me and Isaac hunted in a bow blind and had some deer come in but no javelina but Rob shot his first javelina that evening. Jason and Adam ending up seeing 6-7 javelina on the roads driving around so the game plan for Saturday was to corn the roads and drive around and put the stock up on the javelinas. We met Clayton Rollins - (fullsizeaggie) that afternoon we came in from the hunt and again ate like kings. Saturday came and we hunted a different stand that morning and saw around 2 dozen deer but no javelinas yet. About 2 p.m. Clayton tells us javelinas are at the stand we were at Friday evening so we rush over there to put the stalk on them. We get there and I get my bow out and go to putting the stalk on one, unfortunately a cow ran out of the brush and I wasn't able to get up on the javelinas. As I walk out of the brush I can see Jason, Adam, and Rob all jumping and waving me down to rush back to the truck. I get there and to my surprise Isaac had just shot his first javelina. As I was stocking on the javelina at the feeder a group started crossing behind the truck and Jason spotted them in the rearview mirror. He rushed to put Isaac in the back of the truck and got the gun setup on the tailgate and told Isaac when you're ready shoot. Isaac shot and dropped the javelina in his tracks at 102 yards. To say we were excited was an understatement. Later that evening I tried putting the stock on some more javelina but just couldn't seal the deal. This past weekend memories and new friendships were created and I can't thank you enough Jason for everything you did for me and Isaac. The food, fun and fellowship with fellow TBHers was absolutely amazing and we enjoyed it immensely. Jason, Adam, Rob, Clayton and Phil again we had a awesome weekend and it was great to meet and hang out with every one of you. Looking forward to next year! Here are some of the photos from this past weekend.

Great meeting and hanging out with you this weekend Eli. The highlight of the weekend was definitely little man knocking down that stinky thing
Awesome to see a kid as ate up with it as he was, "Can we shoot that? Can we shoot that? Can we shoot that? When we gonna corn them roads?"
He's liable to get recruited as a full-time cottonseed thrower

What a wonderful weekend in the brush it was! Isaac is a great young man! Kids like that will keep our hunting community strong! Can’t thank you enough for the strong back and all the help, made short work of 15k lbs of feed. Wish it would have worked out with the stick and string, I guess you’ll just have to come back!
