Living in Waco, we frequent both Prime135 and Diamondbacks if wanting a nice meal or steak. Prime has better service in my opinion but the wife prefers the steak at Diamondbacks along with their "chocolate bag" desert. Both have been offering certain cuts in Akaushi beef. Prime had a nice 22oz bone in ribeye this past weekend that I would recommend but would pass on the New York strip my son ordered. Oak & Ivy is another good choice but tends to be limited on menu items at times. Diamondbacks is convenient to downtown if y'all are doing the Magnolia thing. If you do choose Prime135, parking is available behind the restaurant by driving down the side of Georges. Have fun and enjoy your stay!

If your wife is a Magnolia fan, they did a good job on their new 1928 Hotel. There is a nice bar for drinks. Also, a new steakhouse called The Blvd Restaurant. I spoke to a couple of people that said it is good. Haven't had a chance to try it. Like the others said, Diamondback's is the old standard.
