    Eating elk poop

So - I bought some dried figs from Costco yesterday and grabbed a handful and started eating them. My 11 year old daughter says "ewwww dad, looks like you're eating elk poop". I looked back down at them - and I'll be darned if they don't.

I love that girl. She has elk on the brain almost as bad as her daddy.
(Countdown is on for the WY drawing results!)

Yup, just like dried dates. Always reminded me of eating cockroaches. They sure are good though.

LOL! On an elk hunt one time with a bunch of newbies an older buddy of mine had gotten a dark brown roll at a restaurant and put it in his pocket. A few days later we are sitting by the campfire and one of the newbies complaining about not seeing anything...my buddy starts talking about elk sign, tracking techniques and how to figure out how old said elk sign might be as he pulls the roll out of his pocket. "take this elk dropping here, you can tell a lot by the look the feel, the texture but also," (then he takes a bite) by how it taste you can judge what the elk are eating and know where to hunt"..

LOL! Those guys thought it was real poop!

Ah, good nights around the elk camp fire!

Lol that's the oldest trick in the book! But usually I have always done it with milkduds and deer droppings when playing tricks on friends haha!
