Pawn shop has a great shape S&W 686 for $450

I was looking at this hammerless gun today and the guy brought the price down from $500 to $475 without me asking. I paused cause I wanted to see what it is going for on Gunbroke. Anything 686 is above $900 so I think it is a steal of a deal. What do y'all think?

I don't think S&W made a hammerless 686 variant...can you take pics / confirm the model by opening the cylinder & verifying the model on the frame??

A 686 for $450 is a deal but like Artos I’ve never seen a hammerless. A 642 is a hammerless gun though and $450 is high for a used one.

I’ve never heard of one unless it has been modified.

So they have a 686 for $450 and a hammerless gun that they dropped the price down to $475?

Is this an stubnose airweight or a 686? There are several variants of the airweights that are hammerless but if its a 686 then someone probably shaved the hammer down.

Even a 686 with a shaved hammer for $450 is a great deal. Replacement parts are not hard to find

Thank you to all. I just got back from the pawn shop and someone mislabeled the S&W. I passed.
