Despite all my planning, my deer season was severely truncated by several unexpected family events that required my attention. I did however manage to slip out and shoot a doe with my trusty lever 30-30. I’ve got venison in the freezer so I won’t complain

A Total of Zero Deer this year. but that is OK. I saw deer at every sit and I could have filled all my Doe Tags. I passed on several young Bucks we would like to grow, I did take a Trophy Nilgai Bull in South Texas and two Big Hogs in East Texas so meat is plentiful in our house.
