CWD and TPWD always ends bad.
I don’t think they have a clue what should be done but they are definitely going to do something. I think it’s been in the wild deer herds for thousands of years. I think it’s been around for a long time we are just now testing for it.
Deer breeding has brought it to the top also since they have a captive herd that can be tracked.

The best one they have done to my knowledge was introducing Asian Carp to Lake Austin. It was a top 20 lake for ditch pickles. BASS and big organizations were pumping a lot of $$$ into the local economy. Introduced the carp and the structure disappeared and now it’s a crappy fishery.
