    Help me understand....

With the election stuff going on, it got me to thinking....

Does the popular vote really matter? The Electoral College and the Super-Delegates still make the final decision in the end, right? So even if one candidate gets the popular vote, the other can still win based off of how many Electoral votes they get and how many Super's they win on their side?

A state gets one electoral vote for each senator and each district representative it has. This means each state has a number of electoral votes that's proportional to its population.

When the popular vote is tabulated for a state, the winner is awarded the state's total number of electoral votes..or at least they should be... some states have laws that they must....some do not.

      So yes it does matter......
