My Father-in-Law passed away this past week. My Mother-in-Law asked how much I thought their 2001 Chevrolet 3500 Duramax Diesel is worth. Has 200,000 miles on it. Has the high-end diesel motor according to my Mother-in-Law. Heater does not work. Fair condition. Kind of beat up as it was a work truck. I have no idea on price other than a guess off of internet searches. Was thinking $8K - $13500 but not sure. I mentioned to my Wife they should take it to a Chevy Dealer and just ask for a possible range. A neighbor has already asked to purchase it. Do any of you have feedback on this as to a fair offer. Not looking to rip the neighbor off.

I just recently sold mine (2001, 4X4) for $6000. I had it listed here for over a month. You might have to list on facebook, but you should be able to get $5 or $6K if there are no major mechanical issues. Mine did have some leaks, and body in decent condition. The first 2 who looked at it said I was good on my price, just didn't fit what they wanted. 3rd person bought it.Comment
