33 right now in Bayside but this morning it was 24 right before official sunrise.
One of my buddies back in Indiana showed me -3 at 10 this morning.
It’s funny watching the news and people talking about Iowa which I can tell you they don’t care about a record low because they know at sometime this winter it’s going to be below zero so it really isn’t that big of a deal. So seeing folks talk about 20’s and 30’s is really funny.

I left deer camp South of Mirando City this morning at 5:30 AM... was freezing fog and 25 degrees... By the time I got to Hebbronville it was 23 and everything was covered in ICE!! My truck radio antenna would get about as big as my finger, then break off and start refreezing all over again... I saw no telling how many accidents with vehicles smashed, turned over or just all piled up together! One of the worst drives back from down South I ever had!! I drove home back in Feb. of 22 with a couple TBH'ers and I can tell you this drive was much worse, even though the temps were not as cold as the Big Feb. freeze... Bridges were an adventure!! In Victoria, we had to wait until road crews used a big bucket crane and dump truck to clean all the debris from a very nice F350 dually pulling a huge 5th wheel RV that lost control coming off an overpass (I think the Bloomington overpass, but not 100% sure on that). Saw a new-looking F150 super crew all bent up lying on the railroad tracks about 50 yards off the highway along the same area.
The construction area just north of the Buc-ee's Wharton was a real treat too, but once I got past that, it was pretty clear sailing all the way until I got to Sugar Land, then it got dicey again for a bit... Was ice and 25 when I pulled in the garage out on the Tarkington Prairie about 1:30 today... Wife had it 81 degrees in the house with a MAGNUM fire blazing away in the Jotul!!
Worst of all, I didn't shoot nuthin'!!
