Run some Dukes foot traps if you have a coon problem. Coons will always be around feed. Just have to thin them down.

Same.....I have two and like them. We have have 6 ASFs and 4 Lamcos on my lease ....no complaints from either of the brands. I like the ASF's small foot print, easy of moving and their initial cost. Look for them used in January, Feb and March in the classifieds when folks leave or change leases....you can save some good money that way to get in the game.

Why? They are good feeders, I have some, but why limit yourself like that?.

Lamco timed trough feeder can simplify feed more deer at once. If you want to grow em big getting them fed is the point.

You can’t do this with an All Season or a Ranch King feeder

I’ve owed several brands and the all season works the best for me. The lamco style troughs get stopped up when it rains.

Also I’m not trying to “grow” deer on a timed protein feeder, that’s what gravity feed is for. I simply use timed protein as an attractant.

I have four of them and have never experienced this issue. They have moisture sensors on them and don’t even throw feed in the rain.

Nothing wrong with ASF though. Like I said, I have them too.

                Are the troughs drained Bisch?

Not sure exactly who you were asking since you quoted someone else but named me. The troughs on the Lamco feeders have open corners . I have 4 of them without rain sensors on my place and have never had feed get clogged up in the troughs from rain!!!!!

I work on a ranch that has 10 1500# Lamco feeders. Some have rain sensors and some do not. Again, we don’t have clog problems there either.

I guess if you feed real heavy, and get a lot of rain it could be a problem, but out here in W Tx, it’s a non-issue.

The one I had was a Diamond and it sure didn’t have rain sensors. That’s what burnt me out on that style.

Not sure but ours were easy rig out with solar using stainless tubing.

Gotcha. Absolutely I can see why you would say that now. The Lamco trough feeders I have come with rain sensors
