    Road feeder spinner question

Has anyone replaced the OEM spinner on the All Seasons with this? I’m constantly fighting the little links on the side and rarely use the road feeders. Thx.

That the spinner I have on my homemade road feeder, don't know why it wouldn't work on your feeder.

Thought about looking into this type too, would be interested in any feedback too. I have an older Moultrie feeder that spills corn out when not dispensing it with the switch. Been shoving a towel inside where it throws to stop feeding, becoming a PIA to do it between thows.

I have both types....this one will get dirty and will not close completely....about the same reliability as the other type with the chains.

They will work just fine. Just make sure you clean the threads off often, they get corn dust in them and don't close all the way.

On the back end of a truck I would think there would be more dust that just corn dust.

How do you cleans those springs? with water sprayer?

The plastic threaded part breaks. They won’t sell you that part. They want to sell you a whole new unit.

I've used that type on my normal feeders for 25+ years. The spring and the plastic collar that rides on the threaded shaft can wear and require replacing. They sell a repair kit with the plate, collar, spring, and new shaft. It should work on a road feeder.

The cup style spinner plate on the Lamco road feeders works better than it should. Worth looking into.
