I was incredibly blessed by God this evening, and was able to take this wide 8 point on some family land near Kerrville.
He walked out at 5:15 at 20 yards, and didn’t make it 20 yards. The Grim Reaper cut his heart and hit both lungs. You can see him laying dead behind the cactus in one picture. My pops wanted a picture with my dogs, I’m the ugly guy with beard. The buck is 23”ish” outside spread. He was half crippled and walked with limp from his blown up front right knee. My dad has Parkinson’s and can’t really hunt much anymore, but I am so blessed that we still get to spend time together.
