    Hunting Law Question

What is the smallest piece of Private Property that you can legally Bow hunt own??

Situation -- My dad gave me a 1 acre lot between Hemstead & Field Store. The lot were originally sold to be part of a Subdivision in the 70's. The developer walked away, and nothing has been done to the subdision since. There probably is about 500 arces. No Houses, no Water, No, Electric. I visit the property today, and notice Hog track all around my property. I was wondering if it would be legal for me to hog hunt on this property. I looked on TPWD website, but was unable to find the answer.

    Thanks

i believe it has to be over 10ac.

but i could be confusing that law with the one for inside city limits.

If it's not inside any city limits you can hunt it, but I would get elevated and take headshots so the animal stays on the 1 acre. I would also keep it quiet so you don't have 500 1 acre lot owners hunting around you. There also might be deed restrictions on the contract when he bought it about hunting but since the devloper walked I don't know if restrictions would still apply without an HOA taking over.

I wouldn't bow hunt on one acre, you may end up with a majority of animals running off the place after being shot. If guns are legal I would go that route.

Definently depends on were the land is located. I just bought 10 acres last week so I could legally hunt it while living there. I live way in the country thought so wouldnt be too many complaints anyway.

I would shoot a rifle and go for noggin shots to keep them from running over to the neighbors. And I read somewhere they might be making suppressors legal for game animals in Texas this next year.
