Haven’t spent much time on the site since the switch, sorry if this has beating a dead horse, but this interface is hideous compared to the old site. Is this permanent?

Interface and functionality are vastly improved now in my opinion. I have always been a browser based user mobile and PC.

I’m an ORMF - Old Retired Military Fellow - and while I appreciated the old site, the safety and security afforded by this one is much appreciated. Yes it has its quirks but it works for me, either from phone, iPad, or desktop.

I’m one of the ones who complained, albeit mildly, but I have almost zero issues with it now. It was a struggle, but I’m sure it was much more of a struggle for the guys trying to get it to run.

I think “hideous” is a pretty strong word for something that is just different. Most everything changes from time to time and you either have to adapt or give up.
I don’t like or dislike the new TBH, it’s just different. Did I like the old format better? Yes. I was comfortable with it. But there are something’s about this new format that I like better. I’ve now gotten used to it and have gotten comfortable with this one.
I guess it’s all a matter of perspective.

We dated the old reliable site for a long time and when we started seeing a newer younger model, growing pains happened. Still working out relationship goals and expectations. Better everyday.

It’s running much better. Lots of little weird glitches, such as showing the wrong last post made in each forum, still exist. But at least I can post consistently now

It will be good one day and terrible the next. Often times when trying to post a reply, I'll get a "working" message that goes on for several minutes. I give up and decide to just close the browser and go to a different site because I can't back out of the thread. At times I'll read a thread but not respond and then find that I cannot back out of the thread. That also results in closing the browser and going elsewhere. Using a laptop here, and usually on Google Chrome. Another thing that I noticed is that the number of replies to a post apparently has no basis in reality. I'll see a post with zero responses, open it up and find that multiple people have responded. My patience is running thin.
