Unloaded solar panel may put out 21-22v.
    change meter to 200 vdc
    Black goes to common
Red goes to port right above that one
measure two wires coming from panel, you will either get a positive or negative voltage, just make sure it is in sun and over 14v

red in the middle port and black on the bottom. Obviously black goes to your negative terminal and red goes to hot. You have the DC knob in the right place

Thanks guys. I figured 20 or 200 DCV would work was not sure on the plugs.

Thanks again everyone. Got it working. Panel throwing 14.8 V in shade. Direct sunlight in this spot is 9am to about noon in the winter. Foumd the culprit, cracked connector.

FYI - the centech is harbor freight brand. For the price they actually work pretty good. I leave one in each truck etc… you can Google the instructions or look them up on YouTube for the other test types if you need it for something else.

Cool thanks had no idea someone left it here in the project box. My old Fluke had a dead battery and didn't have a backup one that size. This one took a 9 volt so we were in business.
