    Cast Iron garlic roaster??

Ok, didn't want to derail the Christmas present thread...we do Christmas eve & just now found out I'm an owner.

Amazon.com : Charcoal Companion Cast Iron Garlic Roaster and Squeezer Set | Black Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron with with stainless steel ring | Brown Premium silicone squeezer | for Oven and BBQ Grill : Garlic Roasters : Home & Kitchen

I don't search it out but do like garlic...how can I incorporate this roaster / sqeezer into regular outdoor pit lighting / smoking?? I just don't use raw garlic in cooking ever.

Can this gadget be used for anything else as it's kinda spiffy...I like cast iron / foundry stuff.

    Never heard of that contraption

Load it with chips/pellets and put it in the coals to make smoke on a grill I guess?

Give it a go with the garlic, you may like it enough to start using fresh garlic to cook with. I don't think I'm going to rush out and buy one though!

I take roasted garlic and spread it on my grilled steak almost like butter. Roasting garlic totally changes its flavor profile.

I would bet roasting garlic would be great for homemade salsas, along with roasting the peppers.

Looks like there's lots of simple ways to do it on the web. And some ways to preserve it was well. Doesn't look that difficult to do/roast. Bet you couldadd that to your smoker when smoking meats
