Need help with Ruger M77 bolt...

Was cleaning the trusty .243 and the rear end of the bolt pulled a spring-actioned, half turn on me.

Can't return it to the normal position to close the bolt.

    Any ideas?? Thanks...

Get a shoestring or something similar. Make a loop. Tie one end to something that won't move. Loop the other end over the back of the plunger. Pull like heck while turning the bolt.

It sounds like it de-cocked on you. Any gunsmith can fix that in a nano second and generally at no charge.

              Thanks for the replies.
Spring's too stiff for me to budge, but I'll take it to a gunsmith...
