Spreading Klein grass seeds

Looking to re plant a small hay patch this year with Klein grass, for the folks that have planted this how did you get it out with out a drill? Would preferably use a 3 point spreader, but need something for the seed to hold on to.

We’ve mixed cornmeal with Klein seed and it worked pretty good.

We ended up finding an old brillion drill to borrow, that seed is too expensive to waste and wanted to do it right.

I've heard of good results broadcasting Klein mixed with cornmeal. Also rice. Getting 2 PLS pounds per acre ain't easy.
