Anyone use a split pipe tractor drag?

I am tired of fighting the pigs and gophers even with using a gopher plow with poison. I’ve heard these work well especially used in tandem. I’m pulling with a 62hp compact tractor and I have some tight places to get through so I want to stay in the area of 10’ wide. I was contemplating using a double I beam set up but as I understand it the pipe pretty’s up the land a lot better.

half pipe or I beam ?

We use a tandem half pipe. The pipe seems to cut the high spots down well and it doesn't tear up the vegetation. I can't speak for an I-beam.

Up for a picture of your setup also. I need something that will work bad.

I’ve used a piece of chain link fence before and worked pretty good but for hog rooting, I don’t know how well it would work.

I have a framed 3/4” chain harrow that is very heavy but it just doesn’t get the job even close to done. It’s great for driveways though

I’ve got lots of drags but one is 2 pieces is 6” pipe with sackrete n them. Chained appropriately 8’ apart and probably 6-8’ “V” to the draw bar. Don’t tear up grass and heavy enough to actually move dirt

I'm not familiar with a "split pipe" drag... I've looked on the DDGo and YouTube and cannot seem to find anything that fits that description... Personally, I use a land plane around my place to keep my roads maintained. It does a good job and now that I have a hydraulic top link on my 3-point hitch, it's even better.

I will get a picture when I get back up there this week. Plan to drag a field that is bad, May be able to get a video.
