Daughter and I made a trip to Brackettville Monday to do a little hunting and game back yesterday. Going out we passed the check station outside of Uvalde, it was shut down. Got my daughter to look up why and online stated most are shut down due to the surge of Illegals crossing the border. So with the technology out there this day and time how long do you think it took for the cartels to find out that the check stations are closed?? Also, who and how many drugs are being pushed through this area with NO check stations open?? FJB............... rant over

We had a car chase involving as many as 15 undercover officers, one airplane, one helicopter. These outlaws ran from San Benito to my house North of Mercedes. They arrived to the farm, drove past the house, raced across the pasture, ran over the gate of the deer pen and bailed out in the brush. 22 kilos were in the back seat of the truck. Its crazy how they are taking advantage of the situation. Nobody was wearing a uniform and one bad guy got away. Those young officers looked almost like they were having fun. 911 has some interesting recordings of my voice and on the 3rd call the dispatcher replied “those are law enforcement officers Mr Leggett” I was relieved

Serious question from the ignant here. Being up the the metromess, I don't see how these check stations work. I have only been through one, and they only asked if I was a US citizen. Said yes, and was free to go. My understanding is that is what they do... if you don't say yes, then they can ask more questions and do more. So, does these really have any affect on the border?
