    Whitetail hides.

Anybody know a place where to buy a hide that has been caped out ready for a shoulder mount. If you need some measurements i can possibly get those too. Old cape is trash.

    Pretty sure that's not illegal.

Jeff, buying whitetail capes is perfectly legal; antlers too.

The meat, it what's illegal to buy/sell.

Non edible parts should be able to buy and sale all day long. Correct me if I am wrong.

Most any of your local taxidermist should have one they'd be willing to let go of, if not go to taxidermy.net and post up in the want to buy section.

Call these guys and see if they have any. Dad will help you out if he can.

Out of curiosity I have a deer that I want to get mounted that I shot 2 years ago but have not gotten around to it and I do not have a cape. What does a taxidermist average charge for one???

I would say @ $50 increase to the total bill charge.
