I’ve shot 8 this year. Two were gut shots and one just hit meat so I didn’t even look for those. The others were either spine or double lunged and the furthest one went was 40-50 yards. If I want to find them I will but I want them all dead so I usually just shoot and don’t worry about it.

A better compound finer tuned bow. Practice waiting on better shots. But most important was to shoot through the front leg or make sure it's quartering away so arrow went in where heart is. I probably shot 30 like I would a deer and trailed blood for a long ways without finding most that first 5 years or so.

And I also use a gun now 99% of the time. But I may go use a bow so I can hear a good squeal.

That’s what I’m talking about ! I didn’t stop shooting them but I did stop hunting them with a bow. They **** near always break the arrow if you don’t get a pass through. I couldn’t stand to watch them eat and walk off but I penned my feeders to discourage them.

            Nailed it.
Go in behind the shoulder and come out at the base of the neck on offside and that pig is dead every time. Short track job.
I quit shooting them behind the shoulder, broadside, when I made “the perfect shot” on 3 different pigs and found none of them.
