Why don't I have the gear icon to close post ?

I dont have thr gear icon anywhere I have looked in every drop down menu available on thr page looking for close post.

I don’t think you can close a thread while the thread is opens go back to the main forum page that the thread is in, click the white box to the right of your thread title, then go to top right and click the box to open the option to close thread.

Thanks, that was it. I did learn those options are not available in any kind of search list. You have to go in the specific forum to do it. IMHO its a PIA if the post is not current.
