Looked then up and definitely a great deal I just need a taller boot with more ankle support but they are $230 everywhere else and $115 on that site

Dang I bought these this fall after my Danners broke apart on a backcountry fishing trip. Wore them for a few weeks and went on another backcountry trip and loved them. True on the very little break in needed. Awesome boots for sure!

I have had those same boots and they will tear where the hard rubber, typically the toe area, meets the canvas/leather part of the boot. Its a weak link in the overall design of the boot. This has happened to two different pairs of Solomons that I have owned. I had wet/cold feet in Utah this past year because of that and that really sucked. I will never buy that brand again.

I’ve had nothing but great luck with mine. LOTS of rough miles. New Mexico. Colorado. And all over Texas. They’ve done great.

I’m on my 5th pair of these models (3rd pair of the “4’s”) in 6 years. I’m an Arborist and am climbing trees, working on asphalt rooftops and putting many many miles on these in CO and Texas. I’ve never had any kind of failure with them and even after they’ve been worn down, they remain waterproof and I’ve actually handed them down to guys that continue to wear them. I buy a pair every year. Sorry you had bad luck with yours but these boots are well received by many different people, from special forces to law enforcement to hikers and hunters

These are the most comfortable boots I’ve owned! I went with some Crispi boots and regret not buying these again. I’m going to have to snatch a pair up

Thanks for posting - unfortunately I missed seeing this until they were sold out of my size.
