    Luxury vinyl plank flooring??

anyone have any experience with this. We are remodeling a house and looking into using this for the flooring. I've talked to a couple of people and they seem to like it. I need it to be the same thickness and the existing floor. 3/8 of an inch I think.

LTV is what a lot of Hotels, Casinos etc… have on their floors
You can also use it on your walls or ceiling

We use it in new construction. It's vinyl, nothing luxury about it. It is a very tough material and will take a beating showing no damage.

Good stuff but not sure about 3/8 thick.

Some require underlayment and some do not. Achieving 3/8" thickness is going to be tough. You may need to lay down a leveling compound to help get there.

We just used vinyl plank throughout the house we purchased in May. It's water proof and scratch proof, not sure about 3/8 inch thick though. This was an older house built in 1987 and they put down leveling compound on several areas of the floor and an underlayment as well.

            It came out very nice.

We have it in our house. We had stained concrete before and my wife hated it. Put in the LVT and love it. Tough and looks great. Not sure on thickness but they had to put down A LOT of leveling compound. Highly recommend. We or should I say I along with my dog and son are tough on floors

I love mine. Mines pretty thick also. Has cork on the underside for a bit of cushion. I will never have anything else.

                  From Mr Google.

The standard thickness for vinyl plank flooring ranges from 2mm to 8mm, with most residential installations using planks between 4mm and 6mm for a balance of durability and affordability.

We have settled on LVT for the house we are having built in AR. Was going to go Pergo but heard it will absorb water. This isnt a city house so thats a no-go for me. I was hesitant due to it being vinyl, and my distain for marketing terms like "luxury" ( especially combined with vinyl ), but I have talked to multiple people that recommended it

Question on the Vinyl flooring. We are looking to redo our flooring in our house. should we get the one that already has the underlayment or get without and put down a underlayment?

I'm not a big fan. I just hate the soft feel. Makes it feel cheap to me. I'd rather have an engineered hardwood or tile.

We put it in the house we had built this year. It has come a long way from what it once was. Ours floats with no underlayment.

We have it in our new house. We like it. Looks good, comfortable to walk on, durable, waterproof (or close to it, I guess). No complaints. It's not quite 3/8" thick though. Ours is probably closer to 1/4" to 5/16".

3/8” is about 9mm so you can get close to 3/8ths but I would imagine it is going to be expensive.
