Anyone Else Having Site Issues?

If they are on a shared AWS hosting plan they need to move to a dedicated server plan. It doesn't make sense for a database querey to have a fast execution time one minute and it be super slow the next minute when the two queries are equal, unless the server resources are being consumed by something else. Using a shared server can make your site slow simply because you are on the same hardware as a different website that is consuming all the resources. If it was poor configuration in vBulletin you would see the slow queries 100% of the time.

This makes sense. I got back on and zipped through several threads and everything ran pretty normal. Even this thread opened normally.

That's the real issue with me. I don't the they are being honest about what is wrong with this site. Ultimately every thing takes money no matter if it better equipment, dedicated servers, or paying for some one who knows what they are doing. Be honest about what is wrong and what it will cost to fix and let's go from there.

Saying it is what it is and it's for your protection is bs. We are protected on the 10 other forums we use and they work right.

Today - We've made a pretty substantial tweak to alleviate the blocking/stalling/long waits. I'm interested in everyone's feedback regarding site performance this evening.

And, why would they do what you are saying? TBH should double your fees for whining and that would still be zero. Geez, grown men whining and complaining about a free hunting site, makes me kinda want to laugh out loud. So sad.

…and when I hit “Post Reply”, my post appeared almost instantly. That hasn’t happened in a looong time.
Sure hope this continues. If it does, we will get back to The way it was with threads dropping off the first page in minutes rather than days or weeks!
