Moving to Phase2.

Guy's will finish up the exterior repairs and paint on my house today. Now for Phase2. Where is a good place to get a new front door? I need frame and all. I'm in Allen.

Check out Windows USA reviews, we got our last door from them. No complaints.
I always prefer a custom made door instead of the models which are already produced.
I think the doors are very important, as that is the first thing which people see when entering the house.

FWIW our custom builder talked us out of the two expensive wooden doors we had picked originally. Between weathering and painting he advised against them in our harsher environment out here.
we picked beautiful fiberglass doors with glass inserts and no cracking or peeling.

This house was built in the late 80's and as far as I know, this is still the OG wood door. What is an average cost nowadays? I haven't really started looking yet.

Not sure you want an “average” door. Unless this is temporary.
I have some friends with beautiful wood doors that require maintenance and ding/scratch easy. But I am not a homes builder

Just had a new fiberglass back door installed. If you need a good installer, let me know. The guy I used came highly recommended by a property management company.
