ID:	26656448 I’ve got some down time, flying out of Wyoming for home so I thought I’d post about my opening weekend success.

I took my biggest buck of my whitetail career opening weekend. I’ve always wanted to break that 150in measurement and i got it done.

I had this buck on TC a few times and wanted to get him early before he wandered off. I hunted this stand opening morning and didn’t see either of the shooter bucks, only does. Took my kids hunting that Saturday night at another stand and planned on hunting this stand again. I actually took the crossbow with me as this is one of the stands that is going to be replaced before next season- it wobbles and creaks with the slightest movement. Even drawing back is loud in it.

Aside- I’m on a 5yr plan to build the best WT hunting spots I can for family and friends. I’m about 3yrs in and have been putting up Krivoman and 6x6 ranch king blinds at all my spots. Each stand is elevated up to 8ft. All are getting 1,000lb ranch king stand and fill feeders. Each stand has heaters, hog lights over the feeders, bog pod death grips, sand bags (only 2 rifle capable stands, the rest are bow or crossbow). I’m feeding free choice mineral, some protein, alfalfa and add orange corn attractant to the corn feeders. I’m having so much fun creating a hunting paradise.

ANYWAY, I took the crossbow to this elevated loud fiberglass blind Sunday morning of opening weekend. This target buck came in and the rest is history. The Ravin bolt hit perfectly and he died on a dead spring about 60yrds away.

He was scored by the taxidermist at 151 3/8in.

I should add that whitetail deer are my absolute passion. If I had to pick one thing to only hunt it would be whitetail deer. Since I killed my first deer November 1, 1997 it has been my absolute passion.

What a trophy. Glad the old noisy stand could give you one last memory! Might want to keep it as is!

Now that's a trophy I'd hang on the wall. Good symmetry tall tines very clean. Beautiful buck.
