Made it to STX around 2 today. Went to the early service at New Hope in Pearland with the Fam. Got home and started packing. Out the door by 10. Stopped for a whataburger in Goliad. Then at Muy Grande for ice.

climbed in the stand at 3:45. Chasing a basket 10 management deer here. Also chasing a big tall 7 pt. Cull.

saw this guy at Muy Grande getting scored.

door latch broke and with the SW had to improvise a latch. lol.

Coffee then Headed out. May climb up in the rifle stand to go after that tall cull buck. going to be a 'game time' decision.

Saw nothing until the last couple minutes at the bow blind. Javis came in but thats it. Also, on my onX I have named the bow setup RBB (Roye's Bow Blind)

Slight snafu in communication with lease homie on where everyone was going. Wound up back in bow blind. Luckily I setup my Xenek a ~week ago for a N wind.

Shootabiggun! Just got back from Webb county today... A few of the boys are getting frisky, but the older bucks are still cool as a cucumber... Watch a middle aged 10 do lip curls after sniffing where a doe had peed... He didn't detect anything yet, so he just returned to gorging himself on corn n cottonseed... All I shot was a pig last Thursday when I got there and put her on the pit... Made for some real good groceries for a few meals... Moon is getting better every day...

The big trouble is (at least in SE Webb County) it is still GREEN as spring time!! Even the brush is still putting out new growth and the deer love to browse that... How would you like to wake up every morning belly deep in dessert!! That's the way our deer are!!

Had the 10 come in at bow blind yesterday morning but he knew something was up. Wind was right. He came straight to my hand corn at 15 yds. But was facing the blind the entire time. It got fairly still so it was hard to draw.
he spooked a walked off.

went over to number 2 in the evening chasing that cull 8. Very slow evening. 1 doe, 2 yearlings, 1 dink buck. Nothing came to feeder they all went to road corn

back in 2 this morning trying to shoot that 8. Broke out the 7PRC though.
