I am going to finish my living room and one bedroom in rustic barn wood with tin on the ceiling. I am looking for ideas on the look of finished rooms and different ways to orient the boards.

Well, before we moved out to the sticks near Sonora, and after my son moved out of the house, I tried to claim his room as a mancave. The wife vetoed the idea, and I never got that room before we moved. The new house has (we moved here in 2017) has 4 bedrooms, and as soon as we decided to buy it, I staked a claim to one of
I did not use old barn wood, but did use old fence pickets.

this is my living room i built this house over 20 years ago i was a ironworker had most of the iron i used already so i built a 90 x 30 carport that was going to be my shop then we had a hurricane so i boxed in a 30x30 room insulated it and put up tounge and grove bead board over the walls built the kitchen cabinets out of white pine used a compost toilet for 6 years i had to add a real toilet and running water to get my wife to move in and a 20x20 bedroom she lived in our old house i lived here for about 6 or 7 years before she moved inLast edited by Tiger; 12-02-2023, 07:56 AM.
